Your PC is acting differently than before.
Hey everyone, the issue began when my PC didn’t display anything on the screen. After a quick restart, all my drivers vanished. I reinstalled them, but performance dropped significantly—FPS fell from expected levels to around 130-180 with occasional stutters. Despite multiple attempts to fix it, including reseating the GPU, cleaning contacts, and updating Windows, the problem persists. I’m also concerned about my RAM; it’s dual-channel with DOCP, so maybe cleaning the connectors could help. My PSU has been in use for nearly five years, so I’m wondering if that’s a concern. My system specs are: Ryzen 2600, Asus Prime A320M-K, 8x2, 16GB, 3200MHz, RX 580, 4GB VRAM, 450W, 80+ Bronze. What should I do next?
450W is quite tight for a RX 580. AMD suggests 500W as a better option: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/...eon-rx-580 I’m not entirely sure, but it might be worth checking out since you’ve been doing well without any problems.
It doesn’t seem like a hardware problem at first. Messy RAM connections or PSU issues won’t lower your FPS. Try using afterburner or Rivatuner overlay to check your hardware stats (usage and temperatures) while gaming. Reset BIOS or update it if you haven’t already.
