the specs you mentioned are compatible with modern setups. there are communities like tymonacx86 that discuss this hardware. mac os support is possible, so if you enjoy it, you can keep going. apple airpods should also work with it.

I decided to explore OSX and searched Craigslist. I located a used 2-in-1 iMac for free and upgraded it with 4GB RAM for $22, installing El Capitan. It’s now resting on my nightstand. Keep checking Craigslist—there might be others like this. Just confirm you’re getting a model with an Intel processor; older ones have limited capabilities.
