A week ago I upgraded my setup from an i3-8350k to a Ryzen 9 5900x. Since then it keeps crashing constantly—four blue screens in five hours. It won’t run games longer than five to ten minutes before freezing and restarting. Even with World of Warcraft, the issue persists. All drivers are current, and I’m on the latest Windows 10 version. Anyone know what’s going on? I’m considering selling my PC if a solution isn’t found. My build feels unusual, but it’s this configuration: CPU – Ryzen 9 5900x, GPU – GTX 1660, PSU – Thermaltake 550w, Mobo – Aorus Elite V2 B550. It appears the label reads 550w minus 80 plus, but I can inspect it directly. No, I relocated my SSD from the previous motherboard to the current one, both using M.2 slots.
He’s letting me borrow his power supply to check if it helps. It’s an 850-watt unit from his old PC, and he’s not sure if it’ll work with my current setup.
