Windows XP was GREAT and I have had the experience to use it up until now where my school shifted to Win7 Enterprise. My first computer had windows 98 but I don't remember that much other than a game where you drove your car down a long road and the challenge was not to hit other cars and on some later level there were cops chasing you .

Moving an app that wasn’t responding and watching it duplicate itself repeatedly was quite entertaining. My sister still relies on Windows XP for her everyday tasks!

I used Windows XP until about a year ago when I set up my desktop and installed Windows 7. I still miss XP a lot. The thing I remember most about XP was the pinball game it came with—I could play that for hours.

Back in the days when Windows dominated, I was in elementary school. The vibrant, straightforward iMacs (the egg-shaped ones) my school had were truly special. Computers in comparison looked dull and gray. That fondness continues today, as I still favor OS X over Windows.

It was always an excellent way to take my mind off things. Almost the top feature of the 98-XP!

My family used Ubuntu 4.10 or something similar, which was surprising when I first saw Windows XP in 4th grade. Trying to run programs—especially some outdated ones—on my X41 was a big challenge. Before that, the only time I interacted with Windows was through Clipboard. Now it feels great that most programs I need work on all operating systems.

They were the OS's most people we grew up with. I began playing games with my parents using Win95, then they quickly moved to Win98, and eventually set up my own system with Windows XP. I really enjoyed customizing everything—changing themes, icons, logon screens. At times it became quite unstable, so I had to reset everything just to get it working again. This experience taught me a lot about how the OS functions and helped shape my passion for PC building. The fact that you can tweak it freely yet need to rebuild it from scratch makes it so powerful. My gaming rig still runs that XP version today, though I have to admit I’m slowly moving on to Windows 8.1.

I previously played the first StarCraft and Diablo titles on Windows 95 and 98 with great enjoyment.
