This OneDrive instance remains visible in your system taskbar due to its persistent state settings. It stays active even when the application isn't actively using it, which can happen with certain Windows updates or background configurations. Checking taskbar permissions or adjusting the app's behavior might help resolve this.

since windows chose to place it, you can simply drag it into the small window to remove it.

I’m limited to moving it back and forth only; I must confirm if closing it affects OneDrive, or else it won’t sync properly

You're looking at the DesktopWindowXamlSource positioned next to PowerPoint.

It shouldn't appear here at all. If it's OneDrive, you might need to reinstall it.

I'm really stuck right now since I'm busy with schoolwork. Maybe I'll just skip it and do a full Windows reinstall later.

I performed OneDrive restarts during busy work hours sometimes. The main concern is ensuring the synchronization resumes properly or needs a full refresh.
