I just installed my new PC with a Ryzen 5 3600, and it's running at 50-60°C when not in use. I'm unsure what to do because I'm not very familiar with these settings.

What are your exact load temperatures? As long as the load temperatures are acceptable, you can relax, and idle temperatures aren't a concern. Load temps are what matter here.

Verify the thermal paste on the CPU and cooler. Ensure it fully covers the chip. Confirm it isn’t overly thick. Share a photo of the CPU with the cooler slightly raised to observe the connection area.

50-60c during idle indicates the cooling fins aren't secured correctly. Aim for about 40c.

I applied the pre-applied thermal paste from the stock cooler, which I had installed previously, but the results remain unchanged.

I included it earlier, though it keeps fluctuating near 60°C.

Occasionally it stays completely unresponsive, probably due to throttling at high speeds.

It limits performance when things get busy. At around 70°C it’s still okay. What’s really confusing?

I'm really worried because my parents spent a lot of money on this and it might break

I'm experiencing issues when running games in the background with two tabs open, often causing a complete freeze that requires a restart.
