Hey there, I just changed my RAM to a KLEVV DDR4 BOLT X Series PC25600 3200MHz Dual Channel 16GB (2X8GB) and switched to the Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3600Mhz. On CPU-Z the maximum bandwidth is 3596, so I can only set the RAM to 3534. When I try 3600 it boots but crashes during games. Is this normal or should I adjust something because I’m not very familiar with overclocking?

Several 3000 series processors are limited to DDR4-3200 speeds. They don’t support DDR4-3600, meaning anything above that would require overclocking. It seems the memory controller in your Ryzen 5 3600 likely can’t handle DDR4-3600. However, if it works with DDR4-3533, you’re good to go. Just configure it accordingly—no noticeable performance change should occur.

It looks like you're attempting to manually increase the RAM speed. If you set the correct XMP profile, it should operate at 3600 MHz.

Thanks for the update, now I feel safe playing without interruptions. I had been concerned about a possible issue with my computer since the games would frequently crash.

Consider adjusting vdimm to 1.4v if your CPU is showing signs of overheating and the clock speed can't exceed 1766. Modify related voltages accordingly (like through VSOC settings). I'm not familiar with Ryzen, so check a guide on FCLK or RAM tuning.

Only one XMP profile exists with a score of 3600, but loading it causes crashes during gameplay. The CPU-Z shows a maximum bandwidth of 3596 Mbps.

If problems persist, reduce the RAM frequency slightly until stability returns. Because the RAM supports higher speeds, consider adjusting its timings for improved performance with DDR4-3200. The problem is likely related to the CPU's IMC rather than the memory itself. By now, it seems unlikely Corsair’s testing would accept faulty DDR4 modules.

It stops at 3600 using xmp. Have you tried letting xmp auto and then picking 3600mhz manually? Keep the voltage settings auto as well. Then move to timing adjustments. If you're not comfortable optimizing hours, set it to 18-22-22-22-42. Since I'm not familiar with AsRock, make sure the timings apply to both rams.

I thought the weaker ones would be on the 2nd generation CPUs like the 3900x and 3950x because those usually have lower FCLK. Still, I’m curious—if the FCLK isn so poor, maybe a 4800+ desync FCLK is the only way to get decent RAM performance from this chip.

The Ryzen 3000 features two CCXs per die, meaning cores must utilize the fabric for communication even inside a single chip. Just the Ryzen 3 3300X uses a single CCX layout, while other models include at least two.
