Hey there, I just installed a new PC with an i9-13900k, 32GB DDR5 RAM at 5600MHz, XMP enabled. The motherboard is a Z790A Wi-Fi Pro and it’s powered by a 1000W titanium 80+ mainboard PSU. I’m using a Samsung NVMe SSD as the main drive and a WD SSD for backup. Everything arrived within a month. The issue is that no matter what game or resolution I play, my PC keeps stuttering, and I can’t pinpoint the cause. I’ve done a clean OS reinstall already, but it doesn’t help. All drivers and BIOS are up to date.

Consider trying to run the PC without XMP enabled. I’ve noticed no stuttering overall, though some games in my Steam library still lag when XMP is activated. Since I don’t have time for complex tweaks like memory timings, just running normally should work fine for me. But if that fixes the issue and you’re still keen on a slight boost, adjusting memory timings might be necessary.

I'll attempt to disable XMP and check if the stuttering persists. Thank you for the response!

I’m sure this should be a straightforward answer. It seems like you’re dealing with a complex problem that might have been hard to find if you didn’t look at all the steps you’ve taken so far.

Consider switching your mouse and keyboard—it seems like a polling problem.

A polling issue refers to problems that arise when checking for voter preferences or responses, often due to technical glitches or system limitations.

Do you use the integrated GPU or a separate card? Where are your games set up? Which PCIe version are you working with?
