I received a Cyberpower PC as a gift recently, and since it didn’t have a monitor, I connected an HDMI cable to my TV temporarily. I wasn’t expecting the error and am hoping it’s related to plugging it into a TV instead of other devices. The RGB fans aren’t lighting up either, which makes me think there might be an issue with the power cables or the motherboard. What should I do?

This advice might help, but consider whether repairing it is the best option for your needs.

Consider testing a different TV or monitor first before reaching out to the supplier. I experienced this issue on a new build using a less-known brand TV, possibly due to an HDMI connection problem. It initially seemed like a GPU issue, but the PC functions normally with other TVs and monitors.

We've experienced similar issues with shipping damage on other devices. Please consider sending it back or requesting a refund. Cyberpower is well-known for this problem.

It's a GE 4K HDMI port connected to a Sony 4K television, but I'm wondering if the TV might be the actual source.

HDMI cables should be rated, ideally 3.0, though it functions for video doesn't guarantee suitability for a PC.

It turned out the GPU was the issue. Everything is now functioning properly, though I'm disappointed I had to fix it. Appreciate all the support!
