The motherboard doesn't appear to have a BIOS flashback capability, which means it won't function if the BIOS version is outdated.

This board requires a 12th generation chip to update the newer BIOS compatible with 13th generation. The MSI Z690-A DDR4 includes a BIOS flashback feature that allows updates without a 12th generation processor.
