I plan to upgrade my old 2666MHz motherboard by getting new RAM. I also want to assist my friend who is starting their PC build for the first time.
I own identical RAM (8GB, 1 stick) installed on an x570 ASUS motherboard with a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 700W PSU. The system uses the default 2133MHz clock speed. Whenever I attempt to overclock, it fails to restart and doesn’t send any signal to the monitor, even though it’s still active—likely due to instability. I’ve reset the BIOS each time to try again. Anyone have advice on manually overclocking this RAM or using XMP? Thanks.
