You just upgraded to a GTX 1070 and everything is working well, so you tried Minecraft shaders. When loading them, you noticed bright lights and an error message saying "error invalid program composite 1." You mentioned you have the latest Pascal drivers. Someone could help you resolve this issue.

I've removed and readded my drivers multiple times, but I'm still attempting to install Minecraft.

Reduce your NVIDIA driver to an earlier release. It seems the latest version might be causing problems. This isn't related to Java or the game client.

Only backward compatibility is possible on this Pascal GPU, and I've reached version 369.31.

Alright, I've noted that. That was a recommendation from another place, so let's see if it helps. If it doesn't fit, you might need to wait until the shaders get updated or switch to a different shader pack.
