Your Minecraft is running slowly.
I usually don’t play Minecraft, but I felt like building and started it. To my surprise, it ran very slow and choppy. I followed the usual tips—reduced memory, used 64-bit Java, kept render distance low—but it wasn’t fixed. Since I’m not an expert, could you check if something is wrong with my setup?
Consider your game mode and resource pack when planning RAM usage. Modded games and those with resource packs typically require 2GB to 6GB, while vanilla games usually need less than 3GB even with a large pack. Ensure the frame rate slider is set fully and disable VSync. Updating Java can also help, as it functions well on the tested version.
VSync limits your frames per second to 60 assuming a 60Hz display. Odd behavior. Might relate to a graphics driver problem. Works fine on 388.71 for me. I'm using 1.13.1 at roughly 600-700FPS with default settings, no tearing detected.
Yea something is wrong for sure then I mean my rig is no pushover and I should be getting at least like 300 fps but im getting like 55. Ill check my drivers.
I verified my drivers they’re current but lag persists around 55-58 fps. I’m sharing all my settings to see if that helps. Field of view is set at 90, which I adjusted in Quake Pro thinking it might be the issue, but it’s still problematic. I’m really puzzled—my other games run fine and Minecraft is supposed to be smooth with normal textures. This shouldn’t be the case.
