Minecraft is performing very poorly on my PC. Even with SEUS PTGI 12 shaders and Realism Mats set to 256x, it remains extremely slow. The system specs are a Sapphire Nitro+ 6800 XT, SE R7, 3700x 32GB RAM at 3200MHz, and ASUS Prime B550M-A. Temperatures stay between 45-55°C with XMP enabled. I've tried increasing RAM gradually, adjusting render resolution, disabling render distance, turning off shader packs, and even disabling AMD VR. All attempts to boost performance still result in low FPS or stuttering. The GPU usage stays high at 95-99%, while the CPU runs around 35%. Despite having ample storage space, the performance remains inconsistent.

Remove OptiFine, the tool you likely used to enable shaderpacks in the game.

This is likely the cause.

You cleared the GeForce drivers using DDU and confirmed the motherboard BIOS is current.

Your GPU seems to be performing consistently across different resolutions, which usually indicates a stable setup. If usage remains similar, it might point to an underlying issue rather than just resolution differences.

I removed the 2080 Super NVIDIA drivers using DDU before adding my AMD drivers to prevent issues. Mobo is current, and all other components are up to date.

You can try running shaders manually without OptiFine. There are tools and settings you can adjust to maintain performance and smooth frame rates while preserving your current graphics settings.

First remove optifart, if it resolves the problem we’ll know the cause and can find a fix.

It could simply be your system prefers 256 texture packs. I discovered over the weekend that both Forge and Fabric offer an OptiFine alternative mod, and on the Forge side there are optimizations for higher resolution textures. The Forge version is here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/oculus. The Fabric version can be found at: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-...risshaders. Both were built with compatibility for 'Sodium' on the Fabric side: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/sodium, and 'Magnesium' on the Forge side: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-...m-reforged. Also consider trying a 128 pack to see how it performs.
