I was chatting on Discord with a friend and suddenly my microphone stopped working. I looked at other apps and found the same issue—my Focusrite Scarlet Solo and Shure SM57 are connected via USB to my laptop. I restarted, reconnected the cables, reinstalled drivers, but it still doesn’t work. When I enable "Direct Monitoring" on the solo, audio comes through my mic, though I’m not sure if Windows is the cause.

It might be useful to reinstall Discord or try using different input devices. I’m hoping this works, good luck! 😊

It seems the issue is that Windows isn't detecting the problem, which I verified with a recording tool.
