Based on the PassMark site data, the GTX 1660 Super delivers around 48 FPS with DirectX 12. Adjusting the graphics settings to DirectX 11 could significantly boost performance.

Adjust dx12 to reduce CPU strain. Verify msi afterburner while playing and observe GPU and PER CORE CPU utilization. Temperatures may indicate the issue stems from recent Fortnite patches causing maxing on i3.
