There’s an alternative method to capture a screen without using Printscreen. You can press Windows + Shift + S to open the screenshot tool, which will save the image directly to your clipboard. Once there, you can easily transfer it to another location or save it manually.
After capturing the image, save the file and choose a folder for storage. Open IrfanView, press C or go to Options > Capture/Screenshot, click Start. You can keep it minimized or let it appear in the system tray as an icon.
[Win] plus [Print Screen] captures the entire screen and stores it in: Pictures\Screenshots. [Win] plus [Alt] plus [Print Screen] records the active app or game and saves it to: Video\Captures. The key you mentioned isn’t standard, so we can try repositioning it.
