Your latest keyboard lacks the PrintScreen function.
I purchased a Bluetooth mini keyboard without a PrintScreen button. I want to modify one button so it functions like PrintScreen, or create a key combination that mimics the PrintScreen action. Updated May 27, 2022 by Kilrah. Removed black color.
PowerToys includes a keyboard remapper feature. Please note I adjusted your message since it was originally formatted in black, making it hard to read on the forum’s dark theme.
I personally used Lightshot to capture this image. You can configure it to trigger with any key or combination. (There are other methods too) As you can see in the screenshot, using the dark/night theme on this forum makes your text hard to read. No problem if it wasn’t working before.
Press Windows key plus Shift plus S to open the snip tool. Alternatively, use Irfanview or similar applications. They offer various screen capture options—click the hotkey or have the image displayed every few seconds, then save it with a unique name containing date, time, and counters.
PrintScreen captures images easily with a few key presses. Simply hold down Win+Shift+S to take a screenshot. You can highlight areas, choose specific windows, or snap a full screen. The image appears instantly in your clipboard or you can draw directly on it. No additional programs required.
I was already comfortable using the Windows snipping tool. The issue arises when I watch videos on YouTube. By pressing the Windows Key + Printscreen, a screenshot is saved to a location I've set before. With Snipping Tools, I'd need to pause the video and manually save the image. Also, I think the quality of screenshots with Prinscreen is better, though I'm not sure. My keyboard model is the Xiaomii Air 85, which isn't very common. I searched for Prinscreen under a function layer but didn't find anything. Currently, my only choice is to install one of these programs: irfanview, Lightshot, or KeyTweak.
Download KeyTweak from the official site: https://www.majorgeeks.com/mg/getmirror/keytweak,2.html
Adjust Windows settings to modify actions. Use Accessibility options or press Win+Shift+S for quick keyboard support. For additional tools, download Microsoft PowerToys and its keyboard remapper from the provided link.
