Hi, I have an acer predator 17. Two weeks ago my screen just stopped working while watching a video. I tried many things like reinstalling drivers, cleaning, and repasting but nothing helped. If I turn it on after a few hours it starts up fine for about 30 minutes but then the screen goes black or turns yellow, white (it used to go completely dark before). When I try to restart it keeps looping without even getting to the bios stage. If I hide or disable my graphics card it works fine until right after I turn it on when things break again. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey there, new friend! Did you try updating your software just like I suggested? Do you know which drivers are causing the trouble? Maybe we should look at the BIOS settings first, because that could fix some old problems too!

I took out the display card from Device Manager, went to Acer's site, gave them my serial number, put it back in there and refreshed the settings.

Hi, try turning off the graphics card first. Then run an update for your system BIOS, restart your PC, and install the latest driver for the GPU. If you get an error or see a warning sign on the driver, it might be that the graphics card is broken. You could also check if the thermal paste is still there and if the fans are clean. If everything looks fine here, then the problem is likely with the card itself. Go to a repair shop so they can look at your parts.
