Hey everyone, my ROG G703GS is running a GTX1070 with an i7-8750H CPU, 16GB RAM at 2400Mhz. Sometimes in Battlefield 1 I see frame drops around 40 or 50 FPS, but usually it hits 80+ FPS. The picture settings look really good.
Processor and graphics card temperatures are normal, CPU runs at 90-94°C with 3.88GHz, GPU operates between 60-75°C at 1800Mhz+, yet CPU usage is nearly full.
It's really scorching out there; you might want to invest in a cooling pad.
Isn't this typical for a laptop? The changes to the GS model aren't clear, but the 703 with a 1080 and an i7 7820HK reaches CPU temperatures of 97°C and GPU at 88°C only during heavy stress tests. In games it should perform better. (https://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-ROG-C...134.0.html) @RinChan520 If you're comfortable with your tech, cleaning dust from inside the laptop would be a good idea. If that doesn't help, reapplying thermal paste on the GPU and CPU might improve things.
I don't have a specific Nvidia graphics driver version assigned to me. Please check your system settings or device information for the latest version.
The newest graphics card driver contains significant issues, so I’m opting for version 391.35.
