Hi, I own an HP NX6110 that I haven’t used much, but I want it to run faster. I had Windows XP on it, but now I’d like to upgrade it to make it even quicker. I prefer using only Chrome in the browser and don’t want to install anything else.

Have you replaced any parts of the laptop? Still, I advise against using Windows on that device.

Could a contemporary laptop SSD be accommodated? It would definitely boost performance noticeably. No worries if I'm mistaken—lack experience with older systems.

I generally don't support installing an SSD in an extremely old computer or laptop. While it might boot quicker, the overall performance will still feel very limited.

I don't have the laptop's specifications, but Chrome uses a lot of CPU power and memory. It works well on desktops, but for mobile devices—especially slower ones—it's a major drawback. Consider Firefox instead.

It seems he might need to purchase a new budget laptop, as his goals are limited to using Chrome and documents.

I prefer not to use an SSD because it adds extra cost and complexity without significant benefits for my current needs.
