I've observed an unusual noise for a few days, sounding like buzzing but originating from electricity. I assumed it was a fan, but the sound persisted even after cleaning and removing the fan. Now that I'm powering on the laptop, the noise continues. What should I do?

Do you own a spinning hard drive? It’s probably from the speakers. If you’re comfortable opening the laptop, try removing the components and check if the sound stops. The built-in audio in many laptops tends to be noisy, so a buzzing from the speakers isn’t unusual—usually it’s just a mild sound.

Consider disconnecting the speakers to avoid issues. Some laptops place the sound chip too near power sources, causing buzzing when they run.

Then it's just coil whine and unfortunately there is nothing you can do about that.

Could you clarify what you're referring to? I need more details to determine if it might affect your laptop.

Coil whine indicates normal operation, not a problem.

Absolutely, it looks quite alike to what you hear online. I was worried but now I feel better!
