There are numerous suggestions claiming optional fixes. Could any of these solutions work without the BIOS update? Also, after installing the PC BIOS update, I experienced a video management internal failure, followed by a video TDLR issue upon reboot. The problem persists with freezing, temperatures remain normal, but fans are now malfunctioning.

I’d likely install a chipset driver update if you’re planning the process, as it’s beneficial and helps manage communication between parts. Many updates are handled automatically by Windows, so you don’t need to do anything extra. I’ve also found some success by gently tightening and loosening screws repeatedly, which could work in similar situations. I should mention that some laptops needed a lot of effort to loosen the screws, possibly due to weak loctite.

Could the issue be more significant if these don't resolve it?

Monitor the operations closely, check for any that exceed normal load, and also review tools like Task Manager for performance trends such as CPU or GPU spikes.

You're dealing with a laptop that's been in use for years and seems to be struggling with heat management. The fact that it throttles above 68°C suggests thermal issues are the main concern. Using a vacuum cleaner on the vents is a practical solution to keep things cool from the outside. Regarding performance modes, BIOS updates can indeed change how power profiles behave, but whether they improve gaming performance depends on your specific hardware and game requirements. Performance mode might help in some cases, but it's not a universal fix—sometimes it just adds overhead without real gains.

Performance settings let me gain an additional 15 watts for my GPU. However, I noticed something interesting when I used my laptop today—no issues at all. Then I tried Valorant and had to restart to enable Vanguard, but the problems reappeared. Could it be that Vanguard is the cause?

It just causes the system to stop working properly. The suggested standard power setting would be better. There might be other reasons beyond just Chinese influence, like stability problems or resource strain.

It's not just that, my computer crashed once more, ending up with a black screen in video management mode.
