Hello, I'm trying to resolve some issues with my PC after installing the latest Windows 10 version. The Realtek HD drivers seemed corrupted, but fixing them didn't fully resolve the problem. Mice latency jumped to 39-80 ping, which is unusually high. Spectrum confirmed everything was fine, and I even upgraded my internet speed, yet the issue persisted. I connected my laptop to an Ethernet adapter and got a 21 ping. Now I'm convinced something is wrong. All drivers are up-to-date except the new NVDia graphics driver. I rolled back the Windows update, but that didn't help. My system specs are: 3800x Aorus B550 Elite V2 3070 Ti, 750 PSU, 1TB NVMe, 250 SSD (OS), 250 SSD 16GB, 3600 MHz Corsair RAM. Thank you for your assistance.
Verify no unknown devices appear in Device Manager. Confirm the Ethernet driver is correctly recognized and installed. If Realtek audio caused problems, the Ethernet card might be affected too. Using the same cable for testing with your laptop should work; otherwise, switch cables. Inspect the Ethernet port on your PC and ensure it’s free of debris. A dust particle could interfere. Check the motherboard BIOS for any cable tests. Examine running software and the power profile settings. The Performance tab in Task Manager provides a quick summary if network usage is excessive. Perform a ping test to your router.
