Try breaking into your Mac. It’s the same device, just with a higher price tag... But seriously, the download for Mac is tailored only for Macs. The components inside your Mac have stayed consistent over the past ten years or so. There’s no excuse why a Mac released recently can’t run Windows or Linux.
I'm pretty sure there's at least a "chance" that my idea will work. I tried installing virtualbox before, made a Linux Lite VM, bridged the connections, downloaded a few files (just txt files BTW), and transfered it to the host drive(? OS ? Machine ?) which is running windows 8.1.
