Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3-15IMH05 has occasional audio problems. Speakers sometimes work but then stop, displaying "No input device found/No output device found." Volume control responds when it functions, yet installation of the Realtek audio driver fails or triggers a blue screen. Attempts to browse drivers via Device Manager result in a blue screen. From Lenovo Vantage, the error indicates failure to install Realtek Audio Driver (Windows 10 Version 1909 or later) - 10 [64] - 10.25.00.3950. Even though Realtek drivers are supported, the system defaults to generic HD Audio or Intel drivers. The 3.5mm jack also doesn't work, though sound returns when using Bluetooth AirDrop. Please assist.

I experienced the same problem on the identical device and operating system. I had it yesterday without being able to update the Realtek driver via the Lenovo Vantage app or manually. After reinstalling the OS yesterday, the issue persisted. Recently, I successfully installed the Realtek Audio driver using the Lenovo Vantage app. Once I rebooted, everything functioned briefly before the sound vanished again. The app suggested reinstalling it once more. Now, audio appears but stops after a short time. It seems the recent Windows update might be interfering with the sound driver.

I resolved the issue, though I’m still figuring out the steps. I performed a fresh Windows 10 installation and visited the Lenovo support site to download and install all device drivers. I also used their online diagnostic tool, but after rebooting there was still no sound. However, I managed to connect my headphones via an external DAW using a USB-C cable, and eventually the speakers started producing sound without problems. While working on the laptop, I disassembled it to clean the cooler fans. During that process, I removed the main battery and the small circular battery from the motherboard. I’m not sure which action was most effective, but I hope this helped you in some way.
