This CPU should fit on any LGA 1151 motherboard. The 6700T is designed for lower power use, which makes it suitable for streaming, but you can still add the 1060 for better rendering performance. A budget $80 motherboard should work fine.

Generally, you can verify socket compatibility on Intel ARK at https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...0-ghz.html. HP mini systems typically use custom motherboards. Updated August 7, 2020 by PorkishPig The statement isn't fully accurate.

You're trying to understand how compatible the CPU would be with a different setup. The plan involves swapping the i7 from the mini into a new motherboard, along with other components like the case, power supply, RAM, and HDD. You want to know if the CPU will function properly in that configuration.

That board only works with 8th and 9th generation chips. You need H150, B250, H110, Z170, and Z270 models. Check compatibility on PCPartPicker at the provided link.

There are LGA 1151 chipsets like H110, B150, Z170, B250, Z270, which are compatible with Intel 6th and 7th Generation processors. Next comes LGA 1151 "Revision 2," such as H310, Z370, Z390, supporting Intel 8th and 9th Generation CPUs. The MSi H310 motherboard isn't suitable for your i7-6700T.
