Your hard drive is not working properly.
I possess a relatively recent 2TB NVME storage device, previously functioning without problems. Suddenly all my shortcuts cease working (image), and nearly all files are missing from 95% of the folders, though the folders themselves remain visible (image). I can still add and run new games, but everything from Xbox Game Pass and Battle.net is broken, as well as Steam. Reinstalling anything has not resolved the issue. I've run CHKDSK and performed a System File Check, but no solutions have emerged.
