Review your system information. Make sure your GPU is recognized and examine the configuration options. They often include an option to distinguish between external and built-in GPUs, which may be set to automatic or just internal. Adjust it to use the external one by default if available.

I looked for a PCI on the motherboard BIOS but didn't find anything attached.

When working with igpu, verify that your BIOS settings for graphics and PCIe are set to Gen 3 or Gen 4. Confirm the details for your specific board or card. Also, check if you're using a PCIe riser.

i don’t understand gen 3 4, when i disconnect everything and power it on, it works perfectly. but if i put it together without taking out the gpu, then connect the psu cable and case cable, it still doesn’t work—there’s no output. the gpu fan spins for just a few seconds, and even after downgrading my bios version, nothing happens.

Ensure the installation is correct outside the case, but verify functionality inside. Confirm all motherboard mounting holes are properly positioned. A missing or misplaced stud can disrupt operation.
