Your GPU is receiving reduced power limits.
Hi! I see you've been working on fixing issues with your 8-pin#2 power supply. You mentioned problems with limited performance and GPU restrictions. You tried switching cables, checking drivers, and inspecting the port. Let me know what steps you took and if anything changed.
I would concentrate on managing the power draw. The fact that the power being drawn is modest likely stems from this adjustment. The image displays power limiting at roughly half of the TDP. My first step would be to verify if a power cap is active—check System > Performance in the Nvidia App, or use the slider in Afterburner or similar GPU tuning tools. Confirm it isn’t accidentally enabled.
It seems you're asking about something that isn't restricted. Could you clarify what you mean? I'm here to help with any questions you have.
I'm using a standard benchmark suite to simulate GPU stress during testing.
No cable harness used and my power supply is a Corsair RM850 (2019) with 850W output.
GPUz is pointing to a power limit and it *is* a 6 year old PSU and while it has a 10yr warranty, that was the first model year to have it. You might have a dying PSU. Could you grab HWMonitor and look at the Performance section under the GPU? see if it's *just* power? (Win+shift+s will allow you to take a screenshot and will drop it into your clipboard)
The card's background has been confirmed—whether you received it used or brand new, the situation occurred recently.
