Your GPU drivers keep causing crashes.
Hey there! It's understandable to stick with Windows 7 if it works for you. Many people prefer the stability of older versions, especially if they're used to them. If you're experiencing frequent crashes on Windows 10, upgrading might be worth considering once you've tried troubleshooting or patching issues. Let me know if you want tips on checking system health or testing updates!
Shifted to operating systems and software. Issues are resolved intermittently. Some games on my PC (W10) frequently crash, such as GTA 5 and Saints Row 4. Microsoft once said any app should work on this platform. Updated November 29, 2015 by Godlygamer23 Fixed a rather poor typo.
You have till july so there is no rush as dx12 hasn't been used yet, though I thought they fixed that already \_(ツ)_/
You should perform a fresh installation because you haven’t upgraded to version 10. Make sure to read every instruction carefully.
You can upgrade now. Initially, I faced problems with GPU drivers. The solution was to remove them and allow Windows to handle the updates automatically.
I own the same setup you mentioned—Nvidia GeForce GTX 680, UD5 board, and 6GB of RAM in triple channel mode. At work, I also have a comparable machine: a 6-core processor, 12GB of RAM (old ones included), ASUS board, and a GeForce 980. We upgraded one of the older units to a 980Ti, so I’m using the 980 instead of the 780. Windows 10 is performing well across everything, though we’ve had some issues with certain libraries we purchased recently. Overall, the system has improved significantly after the recent update (Threshold 2). It might be worth giving it another shot, but a clean install could be safer this time.
