For those still hosting LAN Parties (and everyone who's done em too), what games do you play? As new titles release, we aim to add fresh options. Battlefield 4 was a long-time favorite for us, though BF1 never really clicked. BFV faded in popularity after its release, while Overwatch and RB6: Siege kept many engaged. Trackmania Nations Forever is also a hit, especially since it's free. We've tried DOOM, GoW4, Counter-Strike Source, and Starcraft for LAN sessions, but none have stuck. So what are your friends' top picks? Any ideas? We're not set on a date yet, but we're hoping to plan in August. Check out some photos from our last event here: https://imgur.com/a/qamEIwo

It might not be the exact games you're seeking (since these are played on one console instead of multiple PCs), but Super Smash Bros. (any version works) and Mario Kart (Double Dash or Wii) tend to perform well.

I don't have any consoles, but at that last LAN party someone brought a Switch with Smash...we never got to it lol. At the final LAN, only one other person showed up with their computer and many people came just to hang out all day. I switched to my living room mini-PC with three Xbox 360 remotes and played Dwarven Brawl Bros, Gang Beasts, and Brawlhalla most of the time. It was actually quite enjoyable too.

The only LAN parties I've been part of were with my friend, his brother, and my brother—we all four used to play World of Warcraft back then! Classic times...
Looking at all your photos of the setups and friends playing together really touches me—it's such a lovely reminder of how gaming can unite people for fun.

Between 2005 and 2006, a few of us had good laptops and we would use them together. We would go to friends' houses and play WoW. Around 2013, I started hosting LAN parties at my new place (with a different group), and eventually the current group since 2014. I'm glad you feel the same. We all share that experience.

Supreme Commander stands out as an excellent RTS for those who enjoy that style of game (not SupCom 2), since we usually switch to FlatOut 2 as the evening winds down because it offers great, lighthearted fun for everyone. Dont Starve Together is often played with people to encourage attendance. Smite is another favorite among us. For our group, who love EVE, we sometimes play that too. It's important to consider whether cooperating or competing better suits the situation and whether each faction can enjoy games tailored to their interests.

Oh, I like the FlatOut 2 idea.
But not really about Minecraft.

Fortnite, Save The World, FlatOut 2, WoW, Minecraft, GTA series, Battlefield, and other classic titles are really enjoyable. I still have these games on my PC from when I had good moments with them. Some of these games are very chill and not like the battle royale version, which is why I recommend them. I also played NFS Most Wanted 2005, GTA San Andreas, GTA V, Battlefield 1943, Code Mw2, CS GO, and CS 1.6. These games are amazing, especially for someone my age. I’m 17, but my brother plays a lot of these games, and we often had fun even with our old PCs. I don’t like newer games like BF1 or BF5, but I still enjoy playing old games with friends in LAN parties. They usually ask if there are other similar games. I’m sorry for my bad English—I don’t speak English very well.
