Hello everyone, I recently upgraded my PC with a Ryzen 5 2600 and an RX Vega 56. The performance didn’t meet my expectations. Before making the purchase, I watched videos of these components working together. The results were impressive, far surpassing what I experienced now. The person whose footage I viewed averaged around 160 fps at high settings (higher than mine), whereas I’m averaging about 135 fps with lower settings. My PC specs are: GPU – RX Vega 56 Sapphire Pulse, CPU – Ryzen 5 2600, Motherboard – B450 Aorus M, RAM – 8 GB, Hyper X Fury, PSU – Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 550W. I also have a different Vega 56 model, more RAM, and a better power supply. Does this explain the difference in FPS? Or are there other settings I should adjust? Since I’ve never used AMD before, maybe optimization was overlooked (though I did watch some "Tuning for Gaming" content). Thanks ahead!

Check the capacity of your 8GB RAM module—whether it's one unit or a dual-channel 2x4GB configuration.

Ram asks if the 8 GB Hyper X Fury is one stick or two. He mentions speed matters and notes that single versus dual is a bigger concern.

It's only one issue, it runs at 1200MHz.

Obtain an additional 2400Hz stick since 1200Hz supports DDR4 and it's double data rate.

This project has exceeded my budget already—need to allocate more funds. Thank you for your understanding.

No, 2400mhz is too low for Ryzen. I’d choose a faster setup—like a 2x8gb 3000mhz Corsair Vengeance LPX. Slower RAM hurts performance, so anything under 3000mhz leads to major drops.

Consider the 2x4GB option if you want to keep more funds.
