I'm really frustrated. My PC keeps minimizing even when I play games, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. It doesn't matter what software I use. I removed McAfee because others suggested it, but the issue persists. I cleaned up temp files, fixed missing DLLs, and corrected registry errors, yet it still doesn't work. I have Windows 7 64-bit with 8GB RAM, and the CPU is an I7 2600K. My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3, and I have an EVGA GTX 560 Ti with 1280MB video memory. The cooling system is a Noctua cooler, and my temperatures stay around 60°C. I've updated the OS to Windows Home Premium and installed a BenQ GW2750 monitor as my main display, with an LG Flatron E2241 as a secondary. I suspect the graphics card might be overworking due to the second monitor, but after using it, temperatures dropped to 72-76°C and memory usage stayed low. It's really annoying when the game crashes or loads heavily, forcing me to restart. Could someone help me resolve this problem?

The issue began following the installation of new hardware and software.

Attempt to manually adjust Itunes. If that fails, try reinstalling it. This issue may not be related to iTunes. I didn’t try a reinstall, I simply removed it since I have a Mac and don’t need it on my Windows computer.

I understand, but iTunes is turned off and hasn’t caused issues before. Even on my old PC it never had problems. Now that the registry and DLLs are fixed, it happens less often but remains bothersome.

No, I don't have Xfire installed or running.

I haven't come across it before, so just don't include it. I confirmed it thoroughly!

I've encountered the same issue. I didn't upgrade any hardware or add major software, yet it began minimizing unexpectedly. All drivers are current and the system remains stable. I'm still trying to locate a fix.

Cleaning the registry and DLLs with a free tool like CCleaner has helped reduce the issue, making it less frequent. However, it’s still happening and it keeps bothering me. I’m frustrated because during long flights in the game, the system automatically minimizes and pauses, which is really annoying!

Are you updating the newest GPU drivers? You might also consider scanning your PC with Malwarebytes. A useful method to identify the source of issues is Process Monitor. Launch it and immediately after your game or app closes, close the monitor (File->Capture Events or press Ctrl+E). Then examine the most recent processes running. This technique can be repeated several times to discover which processes are active just before the app or game is minimized.
