the name clearly indicates what’s happening. this issue mainly appears in high-end games like ARK, COD, ASSASSIN'S, and even Fortnite or Overwatch whenever the game stutters. disk usage spikes to 100% during these moments, then returns to normal once the stutter stops. after resetting my PC, everything runs smoothly without any stuttering. however, after about a month or two, the stutter reappears, and I’m unsure what to do now. my drivers are up to date, and I’ve reinstalled them all. nothing seems to help except a full PC reset. according to what you shared, the problem has persisted for nearly two years. after finding a solution for about one and a half years, I gave up and stopped playing. i’m now back trying to fix it here—my PC specs are: gpu rtx2070, cpu intel i7 8700, ram ddr4 8GB at 2666MHz. the video showing my PC’s performance is attached (you can see the long load times).
Long loading times and stuttering could be linked to problems with your storage and/or memory. Are you using an SSD or HDD? Also, is another program or browser running in the background?
Back when Windows 10 launched, I faced the same problem. A patch temporarily resolved it, but upgrading to an SSD was necessary. Do you have an HDD?
