I've used several graphics cards over the past few years; a Sapphire Radeon 7850, an MSI GTX 760, and a MSI GTX 970. No matter which card I chose, my games consistently stuttered at around 60 FPS even with Vsync turned on, often dropping to 59 frames. It’s surprising since 60 frames was considered smooth back then. I’ve been dealing with these issues for about four years and wonder if this is normal or if something went wrong.

This happens since VSync is active. Turn off VSync.

The performance isn't quite buttery even when VSync is turned off. I attempted triple buffering, which significantly enhanced the fluidity! Others recommend disabling it, but I'm still curious about its impact.

Have you considered improving any of your other parts in the past four years? For example, your screen?

Do you have something similar to Plex or AirVideo that worked before? I faced an issue in code 4, COD 4, and closing it resolved the problem.

install d3doverrider and include the .exe files from your games for improved vsync performance with triple buffering. It significantly reduced stuttering in games like Black Flag and Rise. Good luck!
