Motherboard: Gigabyte Z590 GAMING X CPU: intel i5 11900K GPU: GIGABYTE RTX 3060 Ti 8GB PSU: SilentiumPC Supremo FM2 750 W 80+ Gold RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 16 GB 3200mhz 2x Cooling: SilentiumPC Navis RGB 240 I achieve up to 300 fps in CSGO. My friend gets 500 max with a less powerful setup using the same CPU. I've tried everything. Updated BIOS, GPU Drivers, MSI Afterburner, XMP, game settings, control panel tweaks. I'm out of ideas and need more help.
Are you using identical MoBo and overclock configurations? RAM frequency and background tasks influence performance. Are you certain your friend isn’t exaggerating, given that achieving 500 FPS on a 1050 TI appears quite impressive? What makes sense is why you’d aim for higher frame rates, particularly since the GTX 1050 is a 2GB card while the GTX 1050 Ti is a 4GB card—unless it’s a mobile variant.
I also attempted to boost the clock speed but saw little improvement. He maintains 500 frames per second when viewing the sky or wall, yet I consistently achieve 400 fps for the same activity. I’m frustrated because I spent money on a graphics card that underperforms significantly compared to a lower-end alternative.
same settings in resolution, NVIDIA options, and power controls still matter a lot. I agree with @KingTdiGGiTTy—500 fps seems too high for a 2GB 1050. what tools he uses to track FPS might help. Also, it’s worth noting whether extra FPS means you’re having fun and the game runs smoothly.
Essentially the worst thing you might desire is 500fps in CSGO. You can easily run games from the last year at 120fps while others barely manage 50fps with the same settings. The game was built for hardware that was common eight years ago, and it has a default frame rate limit of 300. It’s likely your friend has disabled that cap, while you haven’t.
