Your GPU might have suffered damage too, so check if your power supply is functioning properly. Usually, it's the PSU that fails first. Have you checked other components in the system?

The term "fried" refers to cooking food in hot oil until it becomes crispy. We should use the proper culinary terminology for clarity.

its proper English, it means it's toast. = ) yeap definitely something else going on... if the gpu is fried chances are the motherboard is too. And the psu is a huge questionmark at this point. personally i would strongly advice not to turn on the pc right now. unplug it from wall too, inspect the motherboard for damage and at least get a new psu before trying to turn it on again tbth

It might just run self-checks to see if a GPU is present.

I understand your interest. The card likely suffered damage during handling or storage, possibly from heat exposure or physical stress. This could affect other components if they were exposed to similar conditions.

Does it match what you see in the video? Yes, my CPU lacks built-in video support. The self-test loop is a common feature across most systems.

It seems the device stopped working due to poor airflow and heat issues. I recall it shutting down unexpectedly because of overheating.

The POST test may fail when no GPU is detected. Different motherboards handle it differently—some reset, others ignore it, and BIOS settings play a role. Avoid any issues like sparks or unusual odors. That’s what I anticipated when you mentioned it was "fried." If the system stops responding, don’t stress about the rest of your PC. Just get a GPU, connect it, and check if it sends a signal.
