You notice from the picture that my network speed is 1Gb/s, yet my gaming PC only manages 100-105Mb/s over Ethernet. Both my PS5 and laptop receive the full bandwidth, I've tested various cat5e and cat6 cables—some provided by ISP, others by work. Before writing this, I checked all the mentioned Ethernet settings in the article, installed a new router, switched from Windows 10 to Windows 11 fresh, cleared all network drivers before installing the latest Realtek adapter, and recently added a TP-link PCIe adapter to my PC. Still facing this problem. I've tried almost everything possible, consulted online resources and other posts on the forum, but nothing seems to resolve it.

It's unclear whether you mean 1149 Megabits or Mega Bytes. Your ISP displays 1149 Megabits, and the PS5 download test appears in MegaBytes on Steam. A speed test via web will show Megabits, which is a higher value. This difference is just a conversion method—similar to saying "I walked 1 kilometer" instead of "I walked 1000 meters." Essentially, it's just a different way of expressing the numbers.

The display indicates megabits per second, suggesting the issue remains relevant. Unfortunately, Arcadius, you've already tried all possible solutions—swapping cables, updating drivers, using another PC port. The only remaining option is connecting to a different router port. Please let us know if you resolve it.

I get it, the distinction between Mb and MB can be confusing.

The rate translates to 100 Megabytes per second, considering the conversion from bits to bytes and accounting for extra overhead. What @jaslion mentioned next.

Using Wi-Fi could potentially achieve speeds up to 1000Mb/s, depending on the network quality and conditions.

I'll be honest i'm not sure why you're getting a lesson in Megabits/Megabytes, the image you show clearly shows 100Mb/s at your device while the router is seeing over a Gigabit. I think some might be jumping to conclusions without reading. Either way, I looked around in the thread and don't see a screenshot of what your NIC is negotiating at. Usually the smoking gun.

I'm still not grasping the basics like 'My first network' as displayed in the speed test. My router shows 1000Mb/s, while my PC only gets 100mb/s. If my PC were receiving the expected speed, I'd expect team downloads around 100-124MB, but right now I'm seeing peaks of just 15MB/s.

Verify the connection speed by checking the link status. Use WINKEY, then click "Network Status" on your adapter and scroll down. Ensure it shows gigabit or higher performance.

It seems the problem persists regardless of the 5GHz frequency used.
