I restarted the system and noticed the resolution shifted to 1024x768 (4:3). My monitor’s default is 1600x900 (16:9), and I can’t adjust it. When using xrandr, it shows a failure message about gamma size. The issue seems linked to the GTX 1050Ti with the driver installed. I fixed it by updating to the latest NVIDIA driver.

Have you attempted a restart once more? Were any updates applied prior to the reboot?

I restarted several times and added many programs before switching back to Ubuntu because I just got the operating system set up.

Likely the issue stems from an outdated GPU driver. Consider reinstalling it.
