Check the manufacturer's CPU recommendations page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B150A-GA...upport#cpu. For the 7700, it appears listed as supported starting with BIOS version 7978v1C. Typically, any contemporary PCIe graphics card should function on any board that supports PCIe.

Consider getting an RX 6600 or GTX 1080. 1660 is suitable and fits your motherboard. Both components are compatible. PCPP LINK https://pcpartpicker.com/list/26vTxs

Consider your current needs and the latest updates before deciding. Upgrading might be wise if performance is lagging or new features are essential.

It varies based on your needs. For a simple upgrade of CPU and GPU, your current motherboard should suffice. If you plan to replace the graphics card, opt for a newer model compatible with modern AMD or Intel CPUs. However, this might require upgrading RAM (such as DDR5) and could increase costs significantly.

According to others, it should function properly. But 1660S is no longer worth buying unless you manage to get them very low, around $100-$120. Even then, it isn't a strong purchase; the best GPU value right now is the RX 6600. For motherboard upgrades, save your money for a recent CPU and board upgrade—even the 12100F is significantly faster than the 7700K.

Would you prefer a refurbished version of the MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER VENTUS XS OC EDITION? It includes 6GB GDDR6 RAM, HDMI/DP support, PCIe 3.0 x16, DirectX 12, and VR readiness.

No doubt about it—your B15A MSI Gaming Pro should handle a 2060 comfortably.

2060 isn't ideal either; anything under 3060 gets wiped out by 6600 for less cost. You might opt for 2060 with a b15a.
