Hello, you're seeing 40 Mbps throughout your home, but the speed drops to 3 Mb/s when using your computer with the range extender. I've checked antimalware, updated LAN settings and chipset drivers, but your B450 AORUS M motherboard still isn't performing well.

If you connect the range extender to other gadgets, they operate at maximum performance. If you run a Cat5 cable directly to your router and then connect to your PC without the extender, what results? How close is your PC to the router?

I don't have a long enough cable to check it. The router is in the center of your house, while the range extender is in your room with your PC. It's been working well for about six months. Also, the slow speeds are intermittent.

Connect your PC to the range extender as usual. Install PingPlotter from the link provided and open it. Check for packet loss to identify potential issues.
