I understand if this seems a bit confusing. Let me explain. When I save games on my Xbox, it works well with our connection speed, but on my PC it takes much longer—usually about 2 Mbps or less. Could someone clarify what might be causing the difference?
I don’t have an ISP or a specific internet plan. I connect to the web through either a wired networking cable or wirelessly. If using wireless, I’m linked to either a 2.4G or 5G network. My setup includes a potato modem/router unit from my ISP, though I also have a dedicated router or wireless AP. Running speed tests consistently shows similar results across devices—some are faster on my PC than on the game console. The download speeds around 2mbps depend heavily on the server side, not just my connection.
On both wireless and wired links it remains around 2mbps. Our ISP confirms this, and our plan offers about 15 Mbps. Downloading games from Steam works consistently—any game is fine. EA Origin and Battle.net also function the same. My Wi-Fi is a 2.4GHz network (the 5GHz one isn’t visible on my PC). From what I understand, the problem lies with my computer itself.
