Your IP shows you're near Birmigham, not London because your location data is based on your internet service provider's server. That's why it reflects a different area. It's normal for location info to vary depending on the network you're connected to.

It records the location where your IP address is linked, usually showing the nearest city in your region. It's difficult to pinpoint an exact address using just an IP.

That is correct because it is based off your IP address and which data center/exchange it is located at. My IP shows that it is in Stanmore when I am in Harrow..
