Achieving 75 points with a 1080 resolution is limited by the frame cap, while enabling V-Sync allows for better performance.

Are there any other issues besides unstable frame rates? Unless so, turning off the game's vsync resolves that problem.

Arthmoor recently acquired an RX480 8GB and is quite fond of it. You might want to join the conversation on afkmods for more details. As someone who received SSE early for porting mods, he likely spent a lot of time with it and could share useful insights. http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/

It's unclear what your speed is, but it's really smooth. Copying the texture folder worked well and everything runs fine now. The original had lots of problems, so this one is a big improvement. It's also much more stable.

I was worried about that. Hope Vega 10 improves things. Those figures bother me a lot. It seems heavily biased toward nVidia. I have a GTX 980, which is nice, but if Vega 10 matches up with the GTX 1080, I’ll switch: - nVidia’s ShadowPlay stopped working well—I liked it, so I thought changing recording tools was necessary... - Pascal is just raw power without full API support, so these cards will become outdated faster, especially after Volta with better Vulkan and DX12 support. - nVidia’s performance in DX11 was strong, but not anymore in DX12. - AMD’s VR SDK still outperforms nVidia’s—Vega 10 uses GCN and HBM2. If Fury X was limited to 4GB RAM, a Vega 10 card would have ample memory (16GB) for the next few years, helping with 4K and VR. - AMD’s strategy is moving toward dual GPUs in upcoming consoles, and CrossFire compatibility from ports should be better than SLI.
