Hey everyone, I've been experiencing low FPS lately. Before the update, others faced similar issues. My specs are an i5 4690K (not overclocked at 3.5GHz), G1 970, and a G1 970 SLI 212 cooler. I usually run at 1280x1024 or 1440x1080 at 144Hz with Lightboost at 120Hz. Sometimes I push higher settings, but I end up with frame drops and stuttering. My refresh rate is 144Hz, yet I still see stuttering. I’m trying to keep FPS matching my refresh rate, but it’s not working. Should I try overclocking back to around 4.0-4.2GHz as before? I’m currently using the lowest possible settings for this build, which seems counterintuitive given the 4:3 aspect ratio.

Try boosting the CPU since source engine and SLI configurations tend to cause stuttering regardless of adjustments.

Check turning off one GPU in the Nvidia Control Panel and observe the results.

I faced the same problem before purchasing my second 970; the slippage wasn't the main concern.

Consider turning off SLI in CS:GO and observe the improvement. Using MSI Afterburner with monitoring might reveal the bottleneck component. It seems Source doesn<|pad|> can't fully use 4 cores.

Lower-end systems can achieve high frame rates because of better hardware or optimization, while your setup struggles due to limitations in components or settings.

No, I don't have v-sync enabled and the game is capped.

Disable VSync, limit FPS to 144, but be aware of potential stutter and drops when using higher settings.

It functions smoothly offline, yet performs poorly in the compiled environment.
