It mainly comes from the increased efficiency of GPUs for many tasks today. Adding CPU functions that run much faster on GPUs—especially with GPGPU, Tensor cores, and RT acceleration—is unnecessary. Many instruction sets are now built quietly without much notice.
On the Phenom II it seems like this! 😄 (Apex Legends was the reference here)
