Hello, I just assembled a new computer for myself. It includes an RTX 3080 and an i9 9900K. I’m using the NZXT H510 case and suspect that might be the issue. My CPU gets very hot sometimes, so yesterday I upgraded to the Kraken X53 and it seems fine. However, just a few minutes ago while playing R6 Siege at a low setting, I reached around 360 FPS but the temperature climbed to 80-97°C. That’s unusual. Please help me out!

Sorry to inform you, but this situation offers almost no air circulation. Your system is running extremely hot. It would have been better to swap out the case instead of the cooler. Cases with rigid front panels (without mesh) aren't ideal for top-tier setups due to excessive heat generation.

I changed from an S340 to a Corsair 275r Airflow, which lowered temperatures by about 7°C and CPU by 5°C. That was before my 3080, which would have been even hotter due to its 340W draw. I agree with the numbers. Gaming temps can reach 80-90°C, though that's quite high. Are you running overclocked? What voltage are you using? MCE?

Do you need help checking your voltage? What is your current setting? I don’t know the exact case model. Which one should I recommend for a new build?

The situation is quite concerning as it shows temperatures 15-20°C higher than my Inwin 301. While it lacks a front mesh, the presence of side mesh might help. Generally, cases with front mesh, multiple intake fans, and exhaust on top and back tend to perform better in cooling. I’d appreciate suggestions for alternatives if you’re open to other options.

Consider Phanteks Eclipse P400A/P500A or Corsair 4000D Airflow for your case. If you prefer the Corsair 5000D Airflow, keep in mind it usually lacks many built-in fans unless you add extra components.

Corsair 275r Airflow with three fans, Corsair 4000D Airflow possibly two, Phanteks P300A/400A/500A (three options) from Cooler Master NR600 (two models). Before purchasing additional parts, verify your cooler setup—stock conditions show temperatures that are extremely high and likely above recommended levels.

Is that 90°C on the CPU? That’s quite high. Games don’t demand much from a CPU. Other factors are at play.

I own a Fractal Design Meshify S2 that delivers maximum airflow and offers excellent functionality. In my experience, it performs the best among what I've tried. It includes three fans. While it comes at a higher price, considering your requirements it shouldn't be too much of an issue.
