Recently my computer's performance dropped significantly. I'm unsure the problem comes from the internet, since it seems normal, so I suspect an internal issue. I've completed several malware scans and explored various online resources, but nothing conclusive. My guess is there might be corruption, a virus that scanners miss, or another hidden problem. Since my PC isn't old and this happened unexpectedly, I'm hoping you can help. If you need more details, feel free to ask—I'll try to assist with what I know.

Check your system for resource-heavy processes. It could be a legitimate Windows issue rather than malware. If nothing stands out, someone might have exposed your router password and is using your network. Update your Wi-Fi security and reset the password to your home network. For verification, bring your PC to another person's home and test the connection there.

Consider starting from a live Linux USB and checking the internet speed. This avoids concerns about Windows and damaged files.
