I received some updates. I performed a clean windows install, refreshed the BIOS, and updated all drivers. Now my PC (still with one drive) randomly crashes when moving large files—around 10GB from one drive to another. I changed the SATA ports but it didn’t help. I ran MemTest86 on the stick I’m using; no errors detected. Also, I tried an OC stress test: CPU stress caused a crash after 30 seconds, RAM stress led to an instant crash at startup with a 1-second delay, and PSU stress showed no crashes but one warning error. During the PSU test, CPU temperature reached 92°C while PSU voltage stayed steady. In the event viewer, every crash was logged as "Kernel-power eventID 41 task 63." I also bought a small speaker for the motherboard, expected around Christmas. Edited December 13, 2020 by Aerhino
Now I can't make significant changes to any launcher: Steam, Riot Games, Uplay... After just a minute or two of downloading, my computer halts anything larger than 500 MB and crashes with the well-known kernel power critical error.
I'm assembling a fresh computer and encountering similar challenges as before. Have you discovered any fixes for this issue?
